my nickname is "head" and ...

my life is a work in progress. i was born in brooklyn in 1979 and my parents decided shortly after my birth that it was time to move the family to the south. we ended up in henderson, north carolina, this is where i was raised and it formed a significant part of who i am today. i also have a sister who is my best friend and eating companion.

currently i call atlanta home along with henderson and savannah, GA. i love the ability to be able to be fluid in where i live because it allows me to help take care of others who take such good care of me. i am a very proud graduate of Spelman College ('01) and The Howard University School of Law ('05).

i always knew what i wanted out of life, really just happiness, well on a private island. i say i want to get away from all distractions and pretend there is a world to myself. not that the world is an awful place, to the contrary, it has much beauty to offer but we don't take enough time to see it. the natural beauty of the world is amazing and it is ours to see and experience. i wish i spent more time doing that (i will totally work on that).

i love nature and being in the country. i guess you can call me a country girl. i embrace it. i am proud of where i am from. i love henderson, nc and all that it has done for my family. it is a wonderful place and the people are equally as wonderful. but don't get me wrong, it is not perfect. it certainly has its social problems like all communities but at its core it is a great community.

in life i'm very outgoing but super private so this endeavor is a leap of faith for me. i believe we all are placed here for a reason and i have always prayed for the creator to use me. it is my desire to be of service to humankind. in what ways? that story has yet to be told but i seek to promote love and positivity. i seek to share the things i love to do like dance and create animations just to be silly. life shouldnt always be so serious and with troubling news around every corner we all need to lighten up. life should be fun and bright, we should look forward to the love of the day.

where will this all take me? only the universe knows. i desire to create a space where i can place all of the musings of my mind in order so that universe and its people can receive it.
what i am 100% certain of is that in this space and in my reality i seek to create a life i love one day at a time.
